elegy…a mediation on mortality

Elegy considers the basic human experience of bodily fragility and the inevitability of death. Moving beyond this inherently melancholy theme, the artist expresses an affirmative engagement with the cycle of life. Elegy is an abstracted, layered composition that combines live video with a variety of animation techniques and an original soundtrack in an evocative and poetic manner. Best viewed as a projection approximately 8 ft. (2.5 metres) wide in a dark space.
